- Would just like to add if I may that the sims3packs (copies or originals) don't need to stay in the TS3 user game folder's Downloads once they are installed. In addition to storing the already installed files elsewhere, many of us keep our Downloads folder mostly empty except for the crazy looking small files that the game keeps putting there. Once already installed, the content lives in bundles in the DCCache folder where the game reads them. Only the Launcher can read the Downloads folder and it certainly doesn't do a very good job of keeping things organized (this is an understatement).

Sure. First of all, the Launcher has to work pretty hard to display (and mess up the organization of) all of that content in Downloads within its own tabs. Giving the Launcher less to do when we need to access it is always a good idea, uses less resources, less RAM, etc.Is there a good reason to do that by the way?
The second reason is, suppose I download some new (to me) store or custom content in Sims3packs. Lots of luck trying to find everything among a whole bunch of clutter when I'm ready to take the next step and actually use the Launcher install any of it. If the Downloads folder is mostly clear to begin with, then the content I wanted to see and install through the Launcher is going to be all that I see (or almost).
